# Platform features

### Elementary AI Agent

The Elementary AI Agent runs continuously on your data platform: triaging incidents, recommending tests, classifying assets, and surfacing performance issues. It works from Elementary's lineage of your entire stack, from ingestion through transformations to BI.

>
> What the agent does, how it works, and how to get started.

> [card] [AI Triage & Resolution](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/ai-agents/ai-triage-resolution.md)
>
> Investigates root cause, assesses blast radius, and suggests a fix — automatically when an incident opens.

> [card] [AI Test Coverage](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/ai-agents/ai-test-coverage.md)
>
> Analyzes your data and usage patterns to recommend the right tests for untested assets.

> [card] [AI Governance](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/ai-agents/ai-governance.md)
>
> Identifies undocumented assets, assigns owners, and generates descriptions — synced back to your dbt project.

> [card] [AI Performance & Cost](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/ai-agents/ai-performance-cost.md)
>
> Surfaces slow models, redundant tests, and expensive queries with specific optimization recommendations.

> [card] [AI Catalog](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/ai-agents/ai-catalog.md)
>
> Finds the right data in natural language, with freshness, open incidents, and test results for each asset.

### Data Tests

> [card] [Cloud Tests](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/features/data-tests/cloud-tests-overview.md)
>
> Run freshness, volume, data contract, and custom SQL tests outside your dbt pipeline.

> [card] [Elementary Runtime (Private Beta)](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/features/elementary-runtime.md)
>
> Run supported data-quality queries inside your environment while Elementary Cloud manages the workflow.

> [card] [dbt Tests](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/features/data-tests/dbt-tests.md)
>
> All dbt, dbt-utils, dbt-expectations, and Elementary package tests appear in Elementary automatically with no extra setup.

> [card] [Schema Validation](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/features/data-tests/schema-validation-test.md)
>
> Detect schema changes that break downstream consumers — tables, JSON fields, and BI dashboards.

> [card] [Test Coverage](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/features/data-tests/test-coverage-screen.md)
>
> Visual map of coverage gaps across your stack. Add tests from the UI or use AI Test Coverage.

### Data Lineage

> [card] [Lineage Graph](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/features/data-lineage/lineage.md)
>
> Full-stack lineage from ingestion sources through dbt models, Python pipelines, and BI tools — enriched with monitoring results.

> [card] [Column-Level Lineage](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/features/data-lineage/column-level-lineage.md)
>
> Trace individual columns across transformations to pinpoint root cause and understand blast radius.

> [card] [Snowflake Semantic Views](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/integrations/semantic-layer/snowflake.md)
>
> Discover and trace lineage through Snowflake Semantic Views — metrics, dimensions, and facts connected to your physical tables.

### Alerts & Incidents

> [card] [Alerts](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/features/alerts-and-incidents/alerts-and-incidents-overview.md)
>
> Highly configurable alerts routed to any channel — Slack, PagerDuty, email, Jira. Owners tagged automatically.

> [card] [Alert Rules](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/features/alerts-and-incidents/alert-rules.md)
>
> Define routing logic to send the right alerts to the right people and channels.

> [card] [Incidents](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/features/alerts-and-incidents/incidents.md)
>
> Related failures are grouped automatically into a single incident. Manage status and assignees in one place.

> [card] [Config in Code](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/features/alerts-and-incidents/owners-and-subscribers.md)
>
> Configure owners, subscribers, suppression, and alert properties directly in your dbt project YML.

### Performance & Cost

> [card] [Performance Monitoring](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/features/performance-monitoring/performance-monitoring.md)
>
> Track execution times, failure rates, and run trends for dbt models and tests over time.

> [card] [Performance Alerts](https://docs.elementary-data.com/cloud/features/performance-monitoring/performance-alerts.md)
